A plain black to red dress either long sleeved or wear a long sleeve shrug over it. Black or Fishnet stockings and black shoes/ heels.
For spider arms
You can make spider legs out of 3 pairs of black stockings, which accounts for 6 of the legs plus your own two arms.
All you have to do is get the stockings and stuff them with, scrap dark material, black paper, tulle, news paper, whatever you have.
The attach the stockings in the middle so each side has 3 legs. (you can sew or tie them together)
Thread the three legs on the ends and leave about a 5cm gap between each one, make sure you use a thick thread or even fishing wire. Then on the top leg add a loop big enough for your wrist to fit through.
Now for the middle (body?!?)
Option 1 , paper mache over half a balloon, paint black with a red stripe and attatch to the middle section of the stockings
or
Option 2 , Cut out an oval shape of black felt glue or sew on a red stripe down the middle and then attatch to the middle section.
And your done.
To attach to yourself you can either add arm loops of elastic or pin to the back of your outfit.

A Wood Nymph or Mother Nature costume can be put together for very little effort and cost!
All you’ll need is…….
A green coloured slip dress (even brown)
Fake flowers from the dollar , craft or florist store. To simply pin into hair. (small ones work best)
You could even wrap fake ivy around your limbs!
For shoes you can wear sandals or strappy high heels .
For my hair in this video all i di was sectioned off my hair (best with day old hair) and started from the bottom up by twisting small sections with mousse. This will last easily through the night.

The Jazz age and the birth of the Celebrity
During the Twenties hemlines rose, girdles were thrown out, women were smoking in public and make up was applied – heavily.
Key points to the Look:
Famous from the Decade
Theda Bara – The Vamp
29th July 1885 – 7th April 1955
Theda starred in as many as 44 films and yet nearly all had been lost in a fire at fox studios. known as the original Vamp as she repeatedly portrayed a sexy temptress with a dangerous allure that ruined the good hearted man.
Because of this she was publicly ostracised for it as the audiences seemed to believed that she was actually like the character she was portraying.
“To understand those days, you must consider that people believed what they saw on the screen….Audiences thought the stars were the way they saw them. Why, women kicked my photographs as they went into the theatres where my pictures were playing, and once on the streets of New York a woman called the police because her child spoke to me.”
Louise Brooks – The Flapper
14th November 1906 – 8th August 1985
Born Mary Louise Brooks and at 5”2 she was as well known as a dancer and movie star but also for being sexually promiscuous particularly for the time!
“Love is a publicity stunt, and making love – after the first curious raptures – is only another petulant way to pass the time waiting for the studio to call.”
Clara Bow – The celebrity
29th July 1905 – 27th September 1965
Clara was born into poverty and violence and yet became known as the ‘It” Girl of the 20’s. Her own mother tried to slit her throat when she learnt tat her ambition was to become a star.
She starred in 58 films and retired by the age of only 28!
Clara really was the ‘celebrity’ of the decade and was receiving up to 45, 000 letters a month from fans during the height of her fame.
Favourite fact – had a love affair with Bela Lugosi!
“We had individuality. We did as we pleased. We stayed up late. We dressed the way we wanted. I used to whiz down Sunset Boulevard in my open Kissel, with several red Chow dogs to match my hair. Today, they’re sensible and end up with better health. But we had more fun.”
Coco Chanel – The designer
19th August 1883 (clamed it was 1893) – 10th January 1971
Created arguably the most influential fashion house in history Chanel learnt to sew in convent school.
Created Chanel no.5 in 1922, a blended floral scent, first for its time. (Opposed to the single flower scents.)
“I don’t understand how a woman can leave the house without fixing herself up a little – if only out of politeness. And then you never know, maybe that’s the day she has a date with destiny , and its best to be as pretty as possible for destiny”
Here is my take on the 1920’s

So i wanted to try out my 28 neutral palette, 10 pan blush palette and my new gel liners so here is yesterdays look.
Pretty basic
(yes i do look a little tired, i later added some Smashbox eye brightener)
Those gel liners are so easy to work with!!!
and here is the sneak peak for my next tutorial
It was inspired by Katty Perry’s VMA look. As you can see I’ve brought the colour up a little higher than hers , my eyebrows are quite high)
This was all i used! I decided I might do a few more of these looks, on a budget!
( I was going to start the decades first but i saw this look and really wanted to replicate it, to an extent, oh and sorry my skin is gross atm!)
