All three are matte shadows that apply easily and blend well too! Out of the three Fame is probably the less pigmented one but is still easy to build up on the lid. My favourite of the lot would probably have to be Angst as I don’t have as many reds as I’d like and it looks fabulous in the crease area. It also slightly reminds me of the Laid Cream Blusher (pictured below). These shadows seem to last well, I’d recommend a good base to start off with as they can stain slightly.
Or colourful eyes? I ‘m really not one to come up with a dazzling header am I…
Anways this is a FOTD from a couple of days back. I used the new Cargo Shimmers I was talking about in my last FOTD post, But I used the Pinky Purple and the Blue this time. I also used Illamasqua’s Angst through the crease, Benefits Smokey eye’s palette for the pink highlight and also for my brows. I again used those gorgeous Japonesque lashes, BYS liquid liner, Too Faced Lash Injection Mascara plus Illamasqua’s Sophie Pencil. On my face I used Graftobian Foundation mixed with the Stilla Illuminating Foundation, an Estee Lauder Gloss (changed to Mac Myth later but didn’t get pictures). And on my cheeks, well I used, sorry I honestly don’t remember!
Please ignore the hideous red shirt.
So how was your weekend?
Madame B Fatale
Considering I have no plans for today I guess I’m rather ‘made up’. This reason for this is simple, I got some new products in the mail and just couldn’t wait to use them!. Does anyone else have that problem?
So what products did I try out for the first time, Cargo Eye Shimmers (the blue and the green/brown, I don’t think they have names), Too Faced Pixie Pin Ups Palette, Japonesque Half Lashes and the Stilla Illuminating Foundation.
I also use the Too Faced Pin Point Mascara from the palette and it was perfect for getting those pesky bottom lashes.
Other products I used but already had lying around were, Occ Lip Tars in Strumpet and Trick (mixed) Estee Lauder Praline Lip Gloss, a brown eyeliner by Nude by Nature, Too Faced Pixie Perfect Blush Duo and a BYS Liquid Liner.
After I did the makeup I filmed two video’s one of which is the hairstyle I’m wearing so watch out for that! Or not depending on whether you like it ……
Well I’m off for now, I think I’ll wash my face, do the washing and make dinner, yes its all fabulous here darling….

*New products that arrived were sent courtesy of Apothica (I got to choose though!)
I’m not gonna lie, I failed! But only by 1 product so its not that bad I ‘spose. I was tagged by Hip&Haute , you really should check out her blog!
First things first I had to pick a foundation, my skin was looking rather patchy so that just had to be fixed, I used Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation. I’m not entirely sure why I chose it as its one of my “oh my skin looks really good today, I only need a little foundation, foundations” and the fact that I had red patches and two spots meant I had to layer it a bit.
Next problem was my under eye circles, that just seem to get darker and darker these days. For this I used Illamasqua’s Emerge Cream Pigment, which works a treat! I also used it as a base over my lids, as a super light blush (just to ‘brighten’ my complexion a little). I had originally hoped to use it for my lips as well but it really would have looked odd with a nearly bare face. In hindsight (what a wonderful thing) I wish I picked Sob cream Blusher from Illamasqua instead but I already have a pink and brown tutorial and I felt it would have looked a bit too similar.
To fill in my brows, line and shade my eyes I use Nude by Nature Waterproof eye pencil in brown. I then used Illamasqua’s Halcyon Illuminator on my cheekbones, cupids bow, inner v and brow bone highlight area.
The photo’s were taken after I cheated and added the Illamasqua Gloss in Rouse, the look really needed it if I were to leave the house. Not that I was as soon as I finished filming I washed my face did a quick mask and watched old episodes of Desperate Housewives. Yes my life really is that exciting!
Oh and on a side note, if any of you lovely readers took part in the #bbloggersoz chat last Sunday you would have not only learnt some in-valuable photography tips (like I did) but you may have noticed that I mentioned I usually have to adjust the lighting and colours in IrfranView (Photoshop is far too advance for me at the moment sorry to say) then crop before it starts to resemble what I looked like in real life. But I took my usual million (ok I exaggerate a tad) shots, played around with my camera settings and voila, the shots came out perfect (colour wise, I need to work on my posing ha!) all I had to do was crop! Ok this may not be as exciting news to you as it is to me I just thought I’d mention it anyway cause I can. Oh and the second photo is stretched because Live Writer just likes to mess with me sometimes.
Make sure you tune into Sunday’s Twitter chat, they’ve all been awesome so far!
Of course if your wondering how I applied each of the products watch the video below….
As this is a tag I probably should pass this on. But its been going around for a while now and its likely most people have done it or aren’t interested, however if you haven’t and are make sure you try it and tell me! (Its harder than I thought to only pick 5 products, I mean I knew I would have some trouble picking but not that much, and I cheated, its kind of embarrassing how much of an indecisive hoarder I am…..)

All products purchased by me except the Illamasqua gloss, but that will be reviewed at a later date.
This post is mainly going to be filled with pretty pictures, but to explain……
Last Friday night I got invited to attend the Brisbane Illamasqua Blogger Event, and gosh I am so glad I went! Not only did we get to watch a fabulous Toxic Nature look demo by Tiarah but we also were given some great tips for using the products. Finally meeting some of the girls I either chat to online or read their blogs was pretty awesome too, (even if I am terribly socially awkward, lol!)
We learnt that Glister eyeliner is great for brides.
Lashes used were the #2 Strip lash that is a long strip of lashes (hence the name) that can be cut up into any desired length, half, full or individual pieces and you should get a minimum of 3 pairs from the strip!
Something else we learnt was that the lash glue that comes with the lashes is latex free, which is a major bonus as many people tend to have an allergy to latex. Also that when waiting for the glue to get tacky it will go darker in colour when its ready to be applied then dries clear.
To set and brighten the face Tiarah used the 105 powder, (also to set the lips).
What’s in the gift bag? You’ll have to wait for the next overview of Illamasqua Products Part 3!!!
Thanks again to Christabel and Illamasqua for having me, and Tiarah for the fabulous demo, it really was a fun night!

Today I have part 2 of the Illamasqua products overview, be sure to check out part 1 if you haven’t already!
First up is the three blushes I currently own.
Left to Right Sob (cream), Tremble and Disobey.
On the left is Sob, its one of the brands cream blushers and I have to say one of the easiest cream blushes to blend I’ve used so far!
The colour is a cool toned pastel (-ish) candy pink. It dries to a dewy matte finish that stays put.
Next are Tremble and Disobey which are from the powder blusher range. Tremble is described on the Illamasqua website as being “soft lilac pink/matte finish”, I would say that its of more a pastel peachy pink with a matte finish. Disobey is described as “Soft biscuit – ideal fro contouring” and that’s exactly what it is! My skin is pretty fair and I have no problems with it being too orange or dark, its become my new favourite contour.
The lipstick is in Obey is described as a bright peachy pink with a matte finish. To me its also kind of a neon pastel type of colour.
To the left is a picture of Illamasqua’s Rich Liquid Foundation which is one of their heavier coverage options. I’ve found that its perfect for medium to full coverage and covers extremely well. It can easily be ‘thinned’ down for less coverage. I personally like to mix it with a small amount of Illuminator and Bobbie Browns Skin Foundation for days I don’t need the extra coverage. Sets to a semi matte finish and stays put all day.The scent is a gorgeous vanilla ‘cake shop’ kind of smell just like all of the products. They all really do smell divine!
Last up we have the SOPHIE eye pencil, a dark true black that is a must in everyone’s makeup bag. The pencil itself is also extremely bendable, works perfect as a base for a smokey eyed look and of course great for tight-lining and waterline. Besides all that some proceeds go towards the Sophie Lancaster Foundation which should be enough reason the buy it either way!
So that’s part two done!
Madame B Fatale
The pencil was given for post/tutorial consideration (and already used in it months ago)the rest I have bought myself.
Today’s ‘bare faced’ FOTD, well as ‘bare faced’ as I get!
I started off by applying Nivea Rich Daily SPF Moisturiser (trailing it for BeautyHeaven so you’ll get a review in a few weeks) Followed with Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation. On the cheeks I used Illamasqua’s cream blush in Sob and Halcyon Illuminator. Brows were groomed with Benefits Brow Wax. Too Faced Lash Injection Mascara and Exhibit White Eyeliner on the eye’s. Then finished off the look with Illamasqua’s Obey Lipstick with Natio Mineral Lip Butter in Loving.
My ‘relaxed waves’ were achieved with the Babyliss Conical Wand ( tutorial coming soon!). I used One ‘n Only Ceramic Silk Thermal Protection and finished with Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Hairspray and Inecto Pure Coconut Oil Glossing Spray.
