Silver Bullet Celebrity Curls Triple Styler

A while back now I was sent the Silver Bullet Celebrity Curls Triple Styler and today I have some pictures of the results of each attachment.

silver bullet celebrity curls triple styler package

Here are some features of the Triple Styler-

  • 3 curling iron attachments: conical curling iron (13-25mm), triple barrel curling iron (19mm and 16mm), regular curling iron (25mm)
  • Titanium barrels for shiny, frizz-free results
  • Maximum temperature: 210°C
  • Dual voltage for worldwide use
  • Includes a travel pouch

Its hard to say which attachment I have been getting the most use out of as I’ve been really liking the results of all of them. One downside for me is that there is only the one heat setting, its not a big deal I just make sure I don’t hold my hair for too long as this baby gets hot!!! But all the other features are great especially the long cord, I know I always mention the cord length of a styler but my house has very few power outlets and a short cord drives me insane. The travel pouch is a great addition as the parts fit in there nicely and is surprisingly not too bulky for traveling.

The following photos are of basically using each attachment with very minimal styling afterwards but I did start off by using a heat protectant. (more…)

New! VS Sassoon Big Hair Styler 1000

Last year I had the chance to review the VS Sassoon Big Hair Styler and made two tutorials on how to use it both on long and short hair. Well today I’m back with the new model VS Sassoon Big Hair Styler 1000.

Instead of showing you how to use it like I did in my two previous video’s I thought I’d show you how I re-fresh 2nd or 3rd day hair because the new version works pretty much exactly like the old just with some cool new improvements.

Umberto Giannini–Backcomb in a Bottle and Morning After Dry Shampoo Review

Umberto Giannini Backcomb in a Bottle and Morning After Dry Shampoo

Following on from yesterdays post on how to use the Backcomb in a Bottle from Umberto Giannini is todays quick review on it and the Morning After Dry Shampoo.

  • Both the Backcomb in a Bottle (217ml) and the Morning After Dry Shampoo 202ml) retail for $13.99 each and are available in Woolworths stores nationally.
  • The scent of both of the products isn’t overpowering.
  • Gorgeous Packaging throughout 5 product range.

Backcomb in A Bottle

“Directions: Spray from approximately 10cm to where you want backcomb effect and jujj hair into shape as you go.”

  • Not only better for the hair than traditional backcombing but its much quicker as well.
  • Works very well on my long angled bob I have at the moment. It certainly gives my hair a bit of oomph!
  • As my how to showed you yesterday its great to use on straight styles for a grungy style but also works well to create texture for updo’s and works great with curls too.
  • Easy to brush out with a bristle brush.
  • My hair hasn’t been weighed down or left sticky from the product. (With that being said don’t saturate your hair with the product)

Morning After Dry Shampoo

“Directions: Spray approximately 10cm away to roots and work through hair with your hands.”

  • Great product for refreshing 2nd or 3rd day old hair.
  • Quick to use.
  • Its actually a clear spray as opposed to the traditional coloured so no chalky roots!
  • Also can help create volume.
  • Dry shampoo’s are great when travelling.

I have been very happy with both of these products. For me they have done what they claim and the gorgeous packaging sets them apart from a lot of other brands that can be found in your local supermarket. I‘m keen on trying out the other products in the range – Grunge Glamour Tousled Salt Spray, Rock’n’Roll Extreme Hairspray and the Sex Bomb Massive Mouse and they will no doubt be added to my trolley next time I’m at woolie’s.

Fun Double Buns with Scunci Pin Twirls

I recently jumped at the chance to participate in the 2012 Scunci Blogger Contest, besides it sounding like a bit of fun I was intrigued by the Pin Twirls we were asked to use in our hairstyles. When I first opened the box, I’ll be honest, I kind of thought ‘they look like some sort of mini torture device, how are these going to work?’.

They are odd hair pins, but after using them I’ve found them to be great at keeping my hair done! Ill you do is twist them into the middle of your hairstyle, kind of like a screw actually. I easily came up with a few quick and simple styles, (I decided to separate the posts because these pictures could end up a mile long!)

I’m so glad I got the chance to try these because they aren’t something I would have immediately rushed out to buy myself but now that I’ve used them I really like them!

Twisted/Fake Dread Up Do a Tutorial

6Back with another hair style tutorial using some Wella products one being the new Bold Move styling paste, which is something you would generally use on shorter hair but I wanted to do something a bit ‘different. The look is a  twisted up do that was originally inspired by a Chanel runway look I instantly fell in love with as soon as I saw it. This isn’t an exact re-creation there are a few differences but as you all know I am kind of in love with any style that’s a bit on the messier side. I will warn you though this isn’t a look that’s going to just brush out you will definitely have to wash your hair afterwards but I think its worth it!

8To create this look I used NAK Dry Shampoo, Wella Bold Move (pictured left) and Wella Finishing spray. Now onto the tutorial!

I still might not be around much, currently moving house and the internet wont be connected for about 2 weeks. Might still be able to post but not 100% sure.
