Today I have a roundup of some Physicians Formula products I was sent and have been trialing and enjoying over the past few months.
Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow and Liner in Nude and Smoky
Good variety and smoky shades sheer when dry and more opaque when used with a damp brush, easy to blend out, great price, travel friendly, but they are all shimmers and rather ‘cool’. To fix the last two ‘problems’ (i say problems but they are more of a personal preference) use a nude matte highlight (or your face powder) above crease, or with the nude palette I’ve used the cashmere bronzer to warm up the crease area. Generally I’m not a fan of sponge applicators but I’ve found its actually handy to ‘smoke’ out the lash line because of the angled shape. Oh and the blue in the Smoky palette is absolutely gorgeous! RRP $24.95
Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Eyeliner Trio in Brown and Blue Eyes
Let me start by saying that these are aimed at certain eye colours (blue, brown and green) but don’t take that as gospel. I have both the blue and brown eyes and I really like both sets on me and I’m probably going to go and buy the green trio as well. These all wear extremely well and work as great bases for the nude and smoky palettes when smoked out. They wind up and have an inbuilt sharpener on the end. There’s not much more that I can say other than they do what they claim and at $24.95 for three liners are a bargain. (worn here)
Cashmere Wear Ultra Smoothing Bronzer
This is the product I mentioned earlier that I have used to warm up the crease when using the Nude palette. The bronzer has a nifty double sided packaging with the product on one side and a mirror and a mini flat bronzer brush. The brush included is soft and okay for application on the go but I do prefer to use one of my own brushes. The product itself is a semi-sheer shimmer warm bronzer great for giving a little colour to the face but is also buildable for those with not so pasty pale complexions like myself for a more sun kissed look. As there is shimmer this is only suited as use as a bronzer and wouldn’t recommend this for contouring. (worn here) RRP $29.95
Bronze Booster Glow Boosting Sun Stones in Light to Medium
Light to Medium is the perfect shade for my light skin tone and I love sweeping this across my cheekbones for an instant healthy glow. The packaging includes a mirror in the lid, a powder puff and a flat brush (just like the one in the Cashmere Wear Bronzer) to apply I like to pat the powder puff across my cheekbones and bled out a little with the brush. The only problem I’ve had with the packaging is that I find the lid a little hard to screw back on properly at times. RRP $29.95
