Last year I had the chance to review the VS Sassoon Big Hair Styler and made two tutorials on how to use it both on long and short hair. Well today I’m back with the new model VS Sassoon Big Hair Styler 1000.
Instead of showing you how to use it like I did in my two previous video’s I thought I’d show you how I re-fresh 2nd or 3rd day hair because the new version works pretty much exactly like the old just with some cool new improvements.
I guess you are wondering what these cool new improvements are, right? Well the first thing as its hinted in the name is that it now has 1000watts of power as opposed to the original having 700watts. The other new improvement is that it has two detachable brush heads! One that is 50mm (same size as the original) and a smaller one 38mm for short hair and fringes. Oh and its pink and black now too.
The addition of the smaller brush head has easily been my favourite new improvement, especially since I just recently cut off so much of my hair. Currently I’ve been mainly using the 38mm all over as the back of my hair is shorter and I find I get a bit more ‘lift’ from the smaller barrel. The new Big Hair Styler 1000 is also slightly longer than the original version but weight wise it seems to be the same. The only things I would like changing are a longer cord (its long enough but my power outlets are just in inconvenient places) and maybe the cool setting to be colder. Other than those two small things I have been loving it even more than the original.
All I used in the video, besides the new Big Hair Styler 1000, was the Umberto Giannini Morning after Dry Shampoo and Wella Finishing Spray. Using the dryer to get more body after using dry shampoo is an easy way to get volume into 2nd or 3rd day hair.
Disclosure- the VS Sassoon Big Hair Styler 1000 was sent to me for review/trial purposes. As always opinions are my own.
