6 Budget Friendly Beauty Buys!
I like luxury brands as much as the next gal but more often than not I can’t seem to squeeze them into my budget. Also when I find a product that works just as well if not better why not buy the cheaper option, right!?! So the following are a few of my favourite budget friendly beauty buys that are not only a bargain but work for me too!
Face of Australia Loose Powder (RRP AUD) $11.95, comes in a massive 30 gram container for that price and is a great lightweight loose translucent powder.
NYX Single Eyeshadows (RRP US) $5.00, the ones I’ve tried have been easy to blend, pigmented and because they come in such an impressive array of colours there’s a shadow that I’m sure everyone will like. Plus with a good base or primer you just can’t go wrong!
La Femme Blush on Rouge Refills (RRP US) $2.99 (Camera Ready Cosmetics), Coming in not only a massive selection but these are super pigmented, that’s even an understatement so be warned make sure you use a small amount and tap off the excess from your brush. These are a staple in my kit and I will continue to buy these forever.
NYX Lip Pencils (RRP US) $3.50, fairly massive selection for a ‘drugstore’ brand, they are cheap and hey generally speaking a lip liner is a lip liner and I’ve found these are particularly great for colours you aren’t going to use everyday that you don’t want to spend a a lot on. Oh and did I mention the colour lasts pretty well and DON’T dry out my lips!
Inecto Pure Coconut Oil Shine Enhancing Glossing Spray (RRP AUD) $14.95 (i-glamour.com), I had to include a hair product and who doesn’t like shiny hair? This has been one of my favourite glossing sprays for quite some time now and is a great last step for both down and up do’s before you leave the house. As with any glossing spray though don’t use too much.
BYS Smudgeproof Waterproof Liquid Liner (RRP AUD) $4.95 (Fashion Addict), this actually replaced my old HG liner (L’Oreal Linuer Intense) quite some time ago. Its just as easy to use, a fraction of the price, stays put and is very black.
So that’s my top six but trust me there are many more! What budget buys do you recommend?

I’ll have to try that Coconut Oil Glossing Spray! Coconut oil is so great for the hair and I know mine could use this and $14.95 is a great price!

I’m a big fan of the lip liner for all over color. Easy to carry, easy to store, easy to have a ton of without taking up space, long lasting color. I will def look NYX’s up when out again!
I love them they are so cheap and like I said soo many colours. I don’t know if the long ones are discontinued but I used to get the buy one get one free deal on Cherry Culture.

Ah, NYX. If only it was in actual shops here. I’d definitely have more NYX makeup if I could try out some colours.

I’ve found them randomly in Chemist Warehouse and those Glossi (?) stores have an alright selection but if you were planning on buying a few things I’d probably order over seas.

I ordered mine from Camera Ready Cosmetics in the US. But they have them in pots at Crush cosmetics and pan form at Lehved and Makeup and Glow if you were looking for something more local. HTH

NYX is surely a great budget brand that is always worth the money. My tip: even though I’ve given up my e.l.f. blushes for Tarte’s amazing blushes, I highly recommend e.l.f.’s studio blush collection. Great pigmentation for the price… $3!
